Tracey Ford
Tracey is a respected leader in the UK addiction recovery movement and has worked with families and people affected by addiction in Sheffield for over 25 years.
A rebellious storyteller and unapologetic advocate, Tracey has walked the long road from teenage mum and addiction to award-winning filmmaker, public speaker, and author of Blood is Thicker Than Alcohol. She is also co-author of the Women’s Recovery Pathway, Write to Be Heard, and My Intentional Life.
Tracey chairs the Sheffield Recovery Community Forum, sits on the national CLERO board (College of Lived Experience Recovery Organisations), and plays an active role in both Sheffield’s and the national Inclusive Recovery Cities Movement. Her work champions trauma-informed, inclusive approaches that centre compassion, community and lived experience.
